Exile.
Do fuck off.
First you think Masuaku is decent now you think Fredericks is decent defensively !!! WTF. Are you mad ?
Clearly a wind up
No one I know has said he is good defensively, ever. He has no awareness of what is around him or what to do. Did you not see his awful header against Man U then his terrible lunge at the ball that put Rice off a crucial interception.
No good having pace in a relay team if you can't hand over the baton.
He is shit, hasn't adapted to the PL ever.
Championship standard if that.

Re: Team for Newcastle
I think many on here are being a bit harsh on Fredericks. Yes, I would normally have him behind Coufal and Johnson in the pecking order at RB, but he is actually pretty good defensively. It's going forward where he is really lacking - he has pace but no idea how to use it effectively. Comparing St Maximin to Grealish is bollocks - completely different players. Grealish has loads of trickery but not much pace, whereas St M is seriously rapid. Coufal would be left for dead and Johnson not much better. Fredericks would be quite effective against him, but I would admit that Moyes has to weigh up the pros and cons of each option.

Why y’all acting like Antonio didn’t play well against Leicester?

Yeah, he was shit against Watford, but he played pretty well at Leicester.

Re: Team for Newcastle
I've had enough of Antonio starting, he is just doing nothing, first touch terrible, passes to strong, terrible at receiving balls up front. Yes he plays like that and gets goals, but I've had enough. He will be a great sub to have on the bench and coming on fresh will be more use to change a game then he is starting. I'd love to start Oko flex, but not going to happen and probably right that it doesn't. So it's down to Bowen the on form man and co.

As for Fredericks before Johnson? Don't understand why Moyes did that during the Leicester game and hope it doesn't happen on Saturday.

I am also tired of seeing Benrahma take tame shots and miss a good pass into the box, but he has got something promising about him that will hopefully come to something.

Johnson Dawson Catkicker Cresswell
Soucek Rice

Re: Team for Newcastle
Seems like the same idiots on here who think Masuaku is worthy of a place with Fredericks playing.
As the more intelligent folk know Fredericks is a
dreadful footballer.
When we doubled up against Grealish Coufal was outstanding Fredericks just got in the way. Grealish twice the player as St Max. Fredericks did no attacking of note in that game. We need to be on the offensive, top 4 potential and we have to worry about a team 4th from bottom.
Moyes will do it though as he's a negative man.
Benrhama is required as he creates something out of nothing and can cause havoc to their 2nd string full backs.
I'm swapping Antonio to left wing with Bowen down the middle
Fornals in a midfield 3, just ahead of Lanzini who I see replacing him at some stage.

Fab
Johnson Zouma Dawson Cresswell
Fornals Soucek Rice
Benrhama Bowen Antonio

Anyway it's not Maximin we have to worry about, it's Sean Longstaff, he's much better than Rice...

Re: Team for Newcastle

I don't think the rice soucek partnership is working and it needs tweaking . I'd go 3 in midfield with fornals alongside Dec with soucek given license to get forward just like last season .

---

I like the idea of trying to freshen things up a bit and do something different.
We are very stale at the moment playing pretty much the same midfield each and every week and it is clear is has not been as successful in the last few weeks.

Side, yeah, I think you're right, I was thinking of Traore, who does play on the right, it seems Saint Maximin is a bit of a rover

Re: Team for Newcastle
Fredericks is OK as a winger and OK to bring on if we’re behind and need a bit of spark, but he’s not a good defender.

Coufal hasn’t been that bad. Not being as good as last season doesn’t mean he’s bad. Same with Soucek, who fell out of favour here earlier this season.

Happy with either him or Johnson at right back though.

Spam is correct, usually on their left but he did roast Rice on the right to get a cross in for a goal last time we played them I think. Someone needs to brutalise the cunt early doors before he can start with his needless stepover shit.

Cough, I'm sure St Maxim operates on the left for them so it would be our right back?
